“The starting point for a new life of art can come only by direct stimulation from the spiritual world. We must become artists, not by developing symbolism or allegory, but by rising, through spiritual knowledge, more and more into the spiritual world.” Rudolf Steiner
Barna, FATÉR Budapest, Hungary, Europe 26 September, 1967 He was already touched by the 1st impulses of devotional art in his childhood and an important moment was his visit in Arizona/USA at the age of 14. He attended the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, majored in textile and painting and got his degree in 1991 as a painter and teacher. After his graduation, Barna became a well-known and highly qualified graphic designer in Hungary which opened him the world of business, advertisements and modern art as well worldwide as in Hungary. He had his visions and impressions and one day he left all his belongings behind and bought a ruinous house somewhere in the fields of mid-Hungary, in a forest, far from any touristic beauties and nice cities and moved there. He started to rebuild the ruin and got deeper in all the different religions, reading all the Holy Books of those. Started gardening. He met Krishna consciousness and Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophy paralelly. Impressions appeared. So he continued drawing on his Mac. Every single day. That’s how his digital paintings were born: Still lifes (2007), Moments of Jesus and the Bible (2009), Prophets (2012), Krishna 108 (2018) In 2023 he returned to the classical method of pastels, so new series of Lord Krishna, Angels, Evangelists, Apostles and Hierarchies were born.
